Shahnawaz Frozen Food

Shahnawaz, after being a successful halal indo-pak restaurant for almost a decade, decided to launch a product line that consisted of foods that were easily prepared at home through a microwave. Because this product line would extend much beyond its tri-state area base, Shahnawaz Frozen Food wanted a website that would send information about its products throughout all 50 states.

Shahnawaz Palace

Along with a website for its new product line, Shahnawaz wanted to remake the current website for its banquet hall, located in Edison, NJ. Its previous website was very hard to navigate and the owners wanted to be able to manage changes to the site by themselves. I created a content management system that allowed them to manage the content on the pages, the packages for both catering and banquet menus, and the photos displayed in their gallery.

Muslim Community of New Jersey

The Muslim Community of New Jersey, a non-profit organization, needed a revamp of their old website. The old website was poorly made in frames and virtually unmanageable in terms of content. The organization was unable to put out announcements on the web and it proved to be hard to keep up with everyone as the web became the dominant stream of information. In order to accomodate their budget, I used mephisto to give them a stable content management system and made changes according to their specifications, including creating a plugin to get the prayer timings of a given city, a plugin to get the current islamic date, and some modifications to allow changing of prayer times that take place at MCNJ.

Al-Rahman USA, Inc.

Al-Rahman, another non-profit organization, needed a website to collect donations and send out e-mails to inform everyone of fundraising dinners and other vital information. In addition to this, Al-Rahman needed a backend financial management system that would help them keep track of donors, pledges, and donations coming in from PayPal or any other source. Using Ruby on Rails, a whole financial management system was created that has been being used for the past 2 years.
